Ethics and standards of professional conduct are fundamental to the values of ECIS, and, we believe, essential to providing guidance to the entire international schools sector.
We promote the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence for the benefit of society. High ethical standards are critical to establishing and maintaining trust in our sector. This responsibility for ethics and professional conduct rests with all those who work in international education, starting with owners and boards, the head of school, and right through every employee of a school.
ECIS is currently working a 'brain trust' of international educators with broad and deep experience to produce a Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct to be shared by end of calendar year 2016.
The intention is to disseminate this document widely throughout the international schools sector, serving as a foundational document for all those promoting and espousing the ideals of international education.
